Your AI skunkworks. We create your edge.
Somewhere in your company is a person who has been saying, ‘There has to be a better way.’ They know where the process breaks down. They know which question customers keep asking. They have a spreadsheet, a workaround, or an idea they have been carrying for years. What they may not have is a product developer sitting beside them.
Your people are experts. They shouldn’t have to become developers.
That is where I come in. I interview and collaborate with people inside your company, draw out their experience and ideas, and translate the strongest opportunities into prototypes, internal tools, and potentially new digital products. I call this building an AI skunkworks: a small, focused innovation collaboration alongside your everyday business.
I am not selling a plan to collect your customers’ financial records and train my own AI model. We can begin with staff conversations and fictional examples, without connecting to your internal systems. The first source of value is what your team already understands about the work.
Start with the need, not the appliance
Think of the company you have built as a house. You do not install appliances just because someone says they are the latest thing. Someone says, ‘I need to keep food cold,’ and now a refrigerator makes sense. Software should work the same way: name the need, then build the tool that answers it. Your business is not an empty house. Your team already lives and works there; they know what is missing.
From a conversation to something people can try
- Interview: walk through a recurring problem, a hard-won insight, or an idea for a new service.
- Choose: identify one opportunity, its intended users, and the result that would make it worth building.
- Prototype: I build a small working version from approved examples so the team can react to something real.
- Test: employees or invited users try it; we measure usefulness instead of assuming a polished demo means success.
- Develop: if it earns its place, we separately scope the security, integrations, deployment, and support needed for real use.
Internal improvements can become product opportunities
Imagine an accounting team explaining how they prepare clients for tax season. That expertise could become a guided preparation tool. An experienced manager’s onboarding routine could become an interactive training product. A consultant’s repeatable decision framework could become a tool customers use between appointments. These are examples of possibilities, not claims about products already delivered or guaranteed revenue.
The aim is business value: less repetitive work, less stress, more productive people, and new opportunities to serve customers. We choose a concrete measure for each prototype—time saved on a task, fewer missed steps, or feedback from people willing to use it.
Build something your company can own
Ownership is part of the conversation from the start. Your company can own the bespoke deliverables we agree to build. We define that in writing, including transfer terms, source-code access, any pre-existing tools I retain, third-party licenses, and permitted reuse. This is not about taking your employees’ ideas and selling them back to you. It is about paying for the collaboration and development that turns approved knowledge into something useful.
Start small without making the ambition small
You do not need to commit to a whole transformation program before learning whether this approach fits. We can scope individual paid innovation sessions, then decide which ideas deserve a prototype project or an ongoing partnership. Sessions and development are scoped separately; the work is custom-built to your specifications and needs.
