Ecstatic Dance: Suburbia
A barefoot, sober, conscious dance practice, finally in the northwest suburbs.
The story
Sunday morning ecstatic dance in the Chicago suburbs: Arlington Heights, Palatine and beyond. No steps to learn. No way to do it wrong. Just you, the music, and a room full of people moving however they're moved.
Ecstatic dance usually means driving into the city. Ecstatic Dance: Suburbia brings the practice to where people actually live.
Every session is DJ-led, sober and barefoot, with an opening circle and a closing integration. Ambassadors and volunteers help it spread venue by venue, and anyone can learn to start a dance in their own town.
David created Ecstatic Dance: Suburbia and built its ticketing, ambassador and volunteer system.
